A leader should be…
Leaders are constantly entangled with dogmatic believes about what they are supposed to be, what rules they should follow, what personality traits they should develop, and how they should interact with stakeholders. One of such “responsibilities” that is being increasingly emphasized is to be a responsible leader. What does the concept of responsible leadership entail and how do Ukrainian top managers understand it? Is it possible to be responsible to everyone and what is the cost of it for a leader? Where does this “responsibility” come from, who imposes it, and who is the leader ultimately accountable to? Let us look at the responsibility from different angles and find out what the other side hides.

Discussion 2. "Responsibility in business: Who is really responsible and for what"
In Ukraine, a classic business culture maintains a dominating position. It is a culture where the responsibility for business results is placed on a limited circle of business leaders – owners and top management – whereas other employees are mostly responsible for achieving narrower targets or only for performing linear tasks. At the same time, there is the opposite approach – a culture of individual leadership encompassing collective accountability and willingness to take responsibility for decisions and risks, even when it is not required by job description. Some believe that the digital revolution has paved the way for an effective combination of these paradigms, while others say that nothing has changed and it all depends on key people in business. What do company leaders think about this, and have they changed their views in recent years? What balance of responsibility have they found for their business and what management approaches do they choose? Where do they see their company in 5 years?

Discussion 3. "Responsibility for your own life"
Do you remember who you dreamed of becoming as a child? Are you happy to be where you are now? Are you happy with who you are today? In any case, you are the only person responsible for it. Success does not fall from the sky. Success is not a lottery and it is not predicted by astrologers or predictions printed on the supermarket receipts. To achieve success, you need to make choices, take decisions, and work through your fears. You need to live in the present, and not in the past or future – you need to take responsibility for your life. This is the only way to realize your full potential and achieve great things in life. Why is someone becoming a Forbes billionaire, an influential politician or a world star? What is their journey? What decisions do they take at critical moments? What risks do they take, what sacrifices do they go through and how do they regain strength? These are the questions we are going to ask them in a frank and straightforward manner.

Discussion 4. "Responsibility to future generations"
Is stakeholder capitalism about maximizing the value for shareholders or business for the sake of the stakeholders? At Davos 2020, when Klaus Schwab emphasized the need to change the paradigm of doing business, many called him psycho. However, business is now in utter need of new priorities, as never before. We can see devastating consequences of a century marked by selfishness, greed, and a pursuit of unlimited wealth. Can things go the other way? Should business consult interests of the society, clients and customers, employees, the environment, as well as care for future generations? Or quite the opposite, does the business owe nothing to anyone save its own shareholders? What should business owners and leaders of large companies think about, apart from the financial result? Battle of views on how to do business.

The Conductors of Changes Forum offers a great opportunity to gather together in the circle of like-minded people, share the stories of successes and lessons learned, and to believe that the changes are possible and that every person contributes to them.
“Conductors of Changes is one of the few forums I attend. I really like the speakers Deloitte selects and the range of topics discussed at the event. It’s a great place to meet your friends, hear valuable thoughts and insights, and think about how to make changes to your daily operating activities”
Tetiana Lukyniuk
Red Bull UkraineCEO
“The topic selected for the forum is trust, which is extremely important for our society. I am also very impressed with the number of business representatives and speakers attending the event. In fact, it is one of this year’s most impressive events!”
Yaroslav Guseinov
MetinvestHead of Tax Management

Glib Khodorovsky

“The forum about changes and how to implement them. It is about the development of owners and senior executives, expansion of growth mindset, and change of attitude towards human capital. It is about the management culture and its enhancement as well as abandoning of an inherited, old-fashioned management style, which is inefficient, sometimes harsh and dictatorial. The Forum offers an environment filled with energy and inspiration. Thank you!”
Mariia Dobik
MDRecruitmentFounder and CEO
“Every year, the Forum impresses with its atmosphere! It is always about meeting of friends who care and want to make a real impact. It is about meeting of people who want to make meaningful changes and share with others their professional skills through learning, experience sharing, and discussions. It is through the discussion that we will finally become a platform for partnership to achieve much more by joining our efforts”.
Nadiia Vasylieva
Digital Transformation Institute of UkraineFounder
“I would like to thank the event organizers for inviting me to the Forum, which I will be joining as a participant for the first time. The Forum offers a great platform for communicating with other successful people. As the event name, the Conductors of Changes, implies, we can expect that the conductors present here will make it a wonderful concert. It is not the case when several conductors try to manage one orchestra, but rather when the conductors, together with the orchestra, shape the country's overall economy and its political system, which gives the sense of being involved and contributing to making meaningful changes.”
